CD: When you were a little girl, what character on TV did you have a crush on?
Gwen: I didn't watch much TV with real actors when I was young but I was in love with Hugh Jackman as Wolverine from X-Men and Keanu Reeves as Neo from the Matrix.
CD: Do you have any interesting hobbies?
Gwen: Modeling and tattoos are interesting hobbies to those who aren't used to them :) Most of my free time is spent at the gym. I used to cut shirts into sexy, badass shirts, but I don't have time to do that any more with school.
CD: Biggest turn-ons and turn-offs when it comes to guys?
Gwen: There are so many of both. I like when a man's forearms ripple, like when he is writing, and a sense of humor is key. Shaved heads are actually a big turn off in men to me, especially in combination with a beard. There are plenty of people who are into that, just not me.
CD: Who or what would your dream date be?
Gwen: If you're with the right person, any date is a dream. But as long as we're getting creative, I would say a luxurious date in Bali filled with laughter and affection.
CD: Three words that describe you the best?
Gwen: I would say intelligent, kind and a cross between elegant and edgy.
CD: How did you get into modeling?
Gwen: It kind of just happened. I had always wanted to be in Inked Magazine, but being a model was never something I was aspiring to do. Doing one shoot for a friend led to another shoot with an amateur photographer, and I continued to work on myself and do shoots with better and better people.
CD: Where else have we seen you (modeling wise)?
Gwen: I am a Sullen Angel so I have been part of Sullen Clothing's advertising. I have been published in several magazines - most recently, in the latest issue of Inked Girls!
CD: Any advice for girls looking to get into modeling?
Gwen: Decide right away how much skin you are comfortable showing, because there are a lot of photographers out there who will try to get you to wear as little as possible. Sex sells and a bare woman's body gets attention, and there are too many guys behind cameras exploiting that right now. I'm not a big advocate "All press is good press" - try to work with the best photographers to create the best image.
CD: What's next for you?
Gwen: I'm going to keep up with shoots and publications but will be focusing on school. Once I get my degree in business I plan to transfer to law school.
CD: What's your greatest accomplishment?
Gwen: There have been plenty of awards and good grades through the years, but I think my greatest accomplishment is picking my life up to the healthy, successful, stable place I'm in now after my party-girl teenage years turned into a serious downward spiral.
CD: Do you have any special talents?
Gwen: I can sing and play violin (not at the same time) but I haven't practiced those in years. Every once in a while I miss the violin, but the silliest reason keeps me from picking it back up - I would have to have my nails short haha.
CD: What would your dream modeling job be?
Gwen: I would love to be on the cover of Inked Magazine. A high-end fashion ad would be incredible too, but I do not see them including tattooed girls any time soon.
CD: Who would you swap places with for a day?
Gwen: A man in a 3rd world country so I could A) see what it's like to have man parts, and B) get a real taste of day-to-day life in impoverished counties. I think we take so much for granted. People here bitch about trivial, petty things and gossip while other people live in constant struggle, without rights or space or food. We write snarky reviews on Yelp while people are selling their daughters because only sons will help bring in the harvests.
CD: What food best describes your life the best? Why?
Jalapenos - exciting and healthy!
CD: If you were President for a day, what would you do with your residential power?
Gwen: I doubt it would be done in a day, but I would love to make the laws punishing animal cruelty harsher and make them consistent federal laws rather than varying state laws.
